As the Great North Run approaches it is impossible to ignore the support North East charities receive from fundraisers every year. We are no exception, this year we have a fantastic team of runners taking part in the iconic 13.1 mile run on Sunday.
Here’s just a little glimpse into who we have running on Sunday.
Inspired Outsourcing – Once again, you will see Inspired’s logo on our beautiful running vests. As regular supporters of the Foundation we also have 2 members of their staff, Sarah and Lindsay running this year, thank you and good luck!
Craig Huddart – Is our tenacious super hero who is continuing his year long mission to run at least 10 kilometres every day to support the Alan Shearer Foundation and the North East Autism Society. Craig makes it all look so easy and we wish him luck for the run.
Claire Flynn – Claire is the Senior Residential Care Officer at the Alan Shearer Residential Home. Claire has been training all year and has made sure she gets out for a run every chance she gets. We are wishing Claire an easy run and thank you.
Amongst this year’s runners we also have Will Shearer, (Alan Shearer’s son) running on Sunday for the second time, helping raise awareness and funds for the Foundation. We thank Will for his continued support and hope he has a great run, good luck.
Thank you to all our runners for helping us raise funds for the Alan Shearer Activity Centre. It only exists due to the generosity of our supporters, enriching the lives for those who use it.
Thank you and good luck on Sunday.
