Congratulations to another one of our supporters for completing the Royal Parks Half Marathon last week.
Laurence Glynne contacted us with the idea of taking part in the half marathon in central London to raise funds for us after his daughter – Grammy Award Winner Jess Glynne –performed at the Foundation Ball in February.
The half marathon is 13.1 miles long and takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, as well as four of London’s eight Royal parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
After finishing the race, Laurence has raised £2,300 and has pledged to continue fundraising for us by setting himself a target of – £3,000! You can help Laurence reach his target by following this link https://goo.gl/8kRZFT
The funds raised will help ensure disabled people and their families continue to benefit from the facilities at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre totally free of charge.
Thank you Laurence!
